With the garment lying flat and right side facing up, cross the front neck extensions over each other, with the wearer’s right side on top of the wearer’s left side.
With RST, sew the centre back seams of the cowl collar extension together and press open.
With WST fold the back neck extension in half along the fold line and staystitch the raw edges together from A-A.
Pin the back neck to the collar extension back neck, matching A-A at the high shoulder points (HSP) – make sure the wearer’s right side still crosses over the left side.
Once in place stitch together then neaten with an overlocker/serger.
With RST and under arm seams aligned, sew the back to front at the side seams and under sleeve seam.
Neaten with an overlocker/serger and press toward the back.
Neaten the sleeve openings with an overlocker/serger.
Cut the elastic to your preferred personal length (or refer to the measurement chart for cut length). Overlap the cut ends by 2cm (¾”) and securely stitch together, creating a loop.
Lay the elastic at the notch indicating the sleeve hem turnback, cover the elastic with the turnback, pin into place and stitch the casing down covering the elastic as you sew.
Neaten the hem with an overlocker/serger then turn to the inside at the hem notch (1cm/⅜”) and topstitch into place.
