CONSTRUCTION
With RST, sew the centre back seam of the Collar (4) together. Press the seam to one side and turn out to the right side.
Fold in half with WST and baste the edges together using a zig zag or stretch stitch.
With RST, sew the Front (1) to Back (2) at the shoulder seams. Neaten using an overlocker/serger and press toward the back.
With RST and notches aligned with the centre back seam, sew the collar to the neck neck opening with a 0.6cm (1/4″) seam, using a zig zag/stretch stitch to allow the neckline to stretch over your head. Neaten using an overlocker/serger and press toward the body.
With RST and notches aligned, pin, then sew the sleeves into the arm opening. Neaten using an overlocker/serger and press toward the sleeve.
With RST, sew the front and back side seams together. Begin at the hem and stitch up to the underarm, then continue along the sleeve seam, finishing at the sleeve opening. Neaten with an overlocker/serger and press toward the back.
Neaten the hem and sleeve hems with an overlocker/serger. Turn to the inside at the notch and pin in place.
Sew the sleeve and body hems with a twin needle or stretch stitch.
Lightly press your new top.
