With right sides facing sew one set of the pockets marked “A” to the front side seam marked “A” on the pattern, clip at the notches and sew a flat stitch close to the seam on the side of the pocket bag.
With right sides facing sew the second set of pockets to the pockets that are sewn to the front side seam, stitch the two pockets’ bags together creating a pocket “B” to “B”, note that the straight edge of the under pocket is left free to sew to the back-body’s side seam.
With right sides facing sew the front side seam to the to the back side seam, start sewing the seams together at the underarm, sew down the side seam stitching through the straight edge of the back pocket as you sew, be careful not to catch the front pocket opening, continue sewing the side seam down to the notch that indicates the split opening.
Fold the pocket top over with right sides facing, sew down each side of the turnover, clip the corners and turn the pocket top out. Turn the outer pocket seams inward and press.
Pin the pocket to the left front body as marked on the pattern, once in place sew the outer edges of the pocket with an edge stitch.
SLEEVE & CUFF:
With right sides facing sew the front and back sleeve middle seams together followed by sew the under-sleeve seams together.
With right sides facing sew the cuff seams together, turn to the right side and press in half lengthways.
Press the seam of the under cuff inward and pin the cuff to the sleeve, once in place sew and edge stitch along the seam on the side of the cuff.
With right sides facing sew the sleeves into the front and back armholes, follow the notches as you sew.
Fold the front turn back seam inward and press, followed by folding back the wider turn back, follow the markings on the pattern, press and pin in place sew, sew a top stitch down the front along the inner folded edge. Press the seams of the sleeve toward the middle sleeve seam which is pressed toward the back.
Sew a stay stitch around the neck of the body to prevent stretching as the front neck is on the bias.
Overlock/serge the hem of the body and then double turn and stitch from the front to the side seam, with the needle down turn the corner and stitch across the side seam, with the needle down turn the corner and sew around the back hemline finishing at the opposite front.
With right sides facing sew the collars together around the 3 outer edges, clip the corners and turn out to the right side and press.
With right side facing sew the under collar to the neckline, matching the notches as you sew.
From the inside sew the top collar to the neck sandwiching the bodice neck seam between both collars, sew from the front to the shoulder seam.
Press the back seam of the under collar inward and pin the collar to the neckline, once in place sew the collar down with an edge stitch on the side of the collar.
Sew the button holes to the right side as marked on the pattern followed by sewing the buttons to the left front to line up with the buttonholes.
Press your new shirt dress.
