With right sides facing sew the front and back facing shoulder seamstogether. Press seams open. Neaten the inner edge of the facing pieces with overlocker/serger.

With right sides facing, pin the facing pieces to the body neckline, sandwiching the ruffle between the body and facings. Once in place sew together, around the neckline and continuing down the centre front.

Press the seam allowance towards the facing pieces. Turn to the correct side of the fabric and understitch around the neckline, on the side of the facings, stopping at the end of the ruffle. Understitch the front facing starting from the hem and continuing up as far as possible.

With the right sides facing, sew the front hem facing to the hem and clip the corners. Neaten the hem of the shirt with an overlocker/serger.

Sew sleeve darts and press downwards. Fold the tucks on the hem of the sleeve and press. Once in place sew a stay stitch 6mm (¼”) from the edge of the fabric, to keep the tucks secure.

With right sides facing, sew the underarm seams of the sleeves together. Press seam to the back and neaten with overlocker/serger.
(Not pictured) With right sides facing sew the two short ends of the cuffs together, turn to the right side and press in half lengthways. Stay-stitch raw edges together. Pin the raw edges of the cuff to the sleeve hem, matching seams. Once in place stitch together. Press seam towards the sleeve and neaten with overlocker/serger.

Sew a large gathering stitch to the head of the sleeve and slightly ease in, this makes it easier to stitch into the armhole.
With right sides facing sew the sleeve head into the armhole, matching the notches as you sew. Press seam towards the sleeve and neaten with overlocker/serger.

Sew a small hand stitch to the shoulder seams of the facing to the shoulder seams of the body, to hold the facing in place.

Sew the buttonholes to the right front as marked on the pattern. Sew the buttons to the left front in line with the buttonholes.
