Yoyo Knit Skirt – Effortless Comfort and Style
The Yoyo Knit Skirt is a pull-on pencil skirt pattern with an elastic waist, designed for knit fabrics. It’s a flattering, easy-to-wear style you’ll want to make on repeat all year long. This is also a fantastic beginner-friendly pattern if you’re just starting to explore sewing with knits, the simple construction and clear instructions make it approachable and rewarding.
To sew the Yoyo Knit Skirt, you’ll join the side seams, sew the short ends of the elastic together, and attach the elastic to the waist of the skirt. The top edge is then folded over to encase the elastic, and the hem is finished with a twin needle or cover stitch.
We made our version here in a sequin knit, which added a bit of a challenge, especially at the side seams and hem, but the results were worth it for a little extra sparkle.
