The new Flick Knit Top sewing pattern is an easy pull-on style with a bit of extra detail through the waist. Four tucks at the front and back give the top its shape and add some texture without making it feel too fitted. There are two versions to choose from: a fitted top with set-in sleeves and tucked sleeve hems, or a more relaxed sleeveless version with an extended shoulder. So you get two styles – two looks – with the one purchase.
Both versions can be made with a round or V-neck, with either a neck band or facing, and finish at the hip. Flick is designed for light to medium weight knit fabrics with enough body and recovery to hold the tucks nicely. More stable knits such as cotton jersey, cotton/elastane jersey, interlock and lightweight ponte work particularly well for the sleeved version, while the sleeveless version also suits slightly softer knits with a bit more drape.
