Once again a great pattern. I have made two of the Alexi Tops both in very light weight sweater knits. Very comfortable. And before the month is out I do plan on making two more in Jersey. Thought a nice transition from Winter to Spring.

This is a wonderful snug turtleneck pattern! I made ZERO adjustments to this pattern and it fit me right away. I picked my size using the bust size on the chart. This is an easy pattern; I am slow and I managed to sew it up on my serger in a couple of hours. I usually have to lengthen patterns but did not have to lengthen this one at all. I had it printed in large format (because taping sheets of paper for me is always horribly inaccurate, not to mention annoying!) at PDF Plotting for $3.29 US (B&W). Note that the neck is pretty snug–you’ll want to use really stretchy fabric, and if you prefer looser turtlenecks, you’ll probably want to pick a different pattern. The instructions say to use a stretch thread, but I just used regular poly thread in my serger and it was fine. I made mine using cotton spandex from Spandex World. It’s perfect for layering! I love that StyleArc patterns fit me like RTW clothes and I usually don’t have to make any changes to the pattern.

I made a size 8 in cotton rib knit. My height is 158cm so I shortened the sleeves and body, did a forward shoulder adjustment (usual for me) and halved the neckband height (neck warmth is not required in Brisbane). The fit is perfect. I love this make

Made the Alexi top in rayon knit. It fitted perfectly and the turtleneck was very comfortable not too tight nor too loose. The only alteration made was to shorten the sleeves. It is the best skivvy pattern I have used to date and I have already made another top.

Love the style. Initially made size 12 in a light weight cotton knit. Size 14 would be better for me with this pattern. Fortunately I had enough leftover fabric to remake the sleeves and collar so altered to size 14. Looks great and so comfortable to wear.

Hello,
I love the design of the pattern and have yet to make it up. I also thought that the ‘buy one size and get two extras’ was a good encouragement to move towards the PDF purchase. So I bought a PDF pattern in the hope that it would be easy to work with and cost-effective to print out. Unfortunately, I’ve had two quotes for the printing and both were far more expensive than the purchase of the paper pattern. Digital media/PDF etc is the way of the future and we all have to ADJUST to the continued cost of technology.

Made size 12 fits perfect. Very quick and easy to make will be making more.
Just sewed this Style Arc Alexi top with fabric from Fabric.com – Telio Dakota Stretch Jersey in size 8. No alterations except to shorten the length on sleeves and body. it worked great and I love it. This was a very thin knit, purchased because I like to bike. It only took 1 yard of fabric. I just order some samples from fabric.com to make another top in a little heavier knit.
I have alway loved the StyleArc patterns. I also sent mine to a printer to have printed on wide width paper.

Perfect in its simplicity. I made mine in size 8 with no alterations. I used cotton/modal rib from The Fabric Store, and I believe it was a perfect choice for this pattern. The top is extremely comfortable to wear and was very easy to make. Pics here: https://www.instagram.com/p/BmHHSRyhqtB/?taken-by=jenyathommo

How Do I Know What Size I Am?
Choosing your pattern size is the most important step and we will help you determine this with these easy to follow steps.
When taking your measurements ensure that you take them against your skin and not over clothing. One can wear a comfortable bra and knickers whilst measuring, as this will provide you with the most accurate measurements.
Tape measure has to sit firmly around the points you are measuring. But be careful not to pull it too tight, as this will give you the incorrect size.
When measuring circumferences (B, C, D, E) it is important to note that the tape measure must remain parallel to the floor. It is sometimes best to take the measurements in front of a mirror; this will help you see the angle of the tape measure.
You will only require the basic body measurements to determine your pattern size which is indicated on our mannequin below:
A. Shoulder Breadth
Place the tape at the edge of the shoulder. Measure along the top of the shoulder blade/across the highest point of the shoulders to the other edge, following the natural slope and allow an extra finger for ease of any movement.
B. Upper Arm Girth
This point is taken as a circumference at your widest point of your upper arm.
C. Bust
This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the fullest part of your chest.
D. Waist
This point is taken as a circumference and taken at the smallest part of your waist.
E. Hip
This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the widest part of your hips.
