Great pattern that has lots of option for different looks. I made mine out of a loosely woven fabric that had weight to it so it draped beautifully. I did not do the side pockets due to the type of fabric I used. If you don’t put the pocket in, you can serge the whole jacket up so a fast make. I lost a lot of weight but I can still wear this due to the drape of the fabric. It’s sort of like a long shrug. I plan on making another one but even longer for an evening wear look. You could do sheer fabrics and it would look wonderful. Like I said, lots of options. I will size down on my next one.

I’ve made the short version twice, one was in an embossed brocade woven fabric – worked great and the second one in another woven. Both worked very well and I liked the bias binding seams. Both I will wear open or pinned closed with a brooch. They look great.

I made a toile in a piece of polar fleece. A good fit. I will make some adjustments to suit me:- Move pockets, lengthen and use high contrast binding. The toile has been useful as I get a bit of wear from it

Made a muslin out of a fleece blanket. Found the in-seam pockets far too far back – you really have to pull the whole frnt forward in order to get your hands in – and the arm cuffs too narrow (and I don’t think I have particularly fat arms!). Would make it again in a heavier fabric but put the pockets in the front band seam instead and increase the width of the cuffs by a good 2 or 3″.

Very flattering shape and very easy to put together. It was my first project with heavier wool fabric and I didn´t struggle at all. I went down a size after reading the final garment measurements, so I appreciate they send multiple size PDFs. It´s still quite roomy everywhere but the sleeves. I used a wool fabric with no stretch and quite like the structured final look. I plan to sew it with a medium weight knit fabric next, which I´ve seen online looks more like a cardigan than a coat.

This was the first Style Arc pattern I made, and I really love it. I found it runs big. I made size 10, per size chart, but I used a chunky wool fabric and I had to take a bigger seam allowance to make sure the fabric is caught in the serger seam, so I think it ended up a size smaller. It fits great, so I just know to make size 8 for the future. The pattern is great, and I love how it looks on me.

Love the look. I made it with a real drapery, but not real stretchy woven rayon. A little bit of a mistake. There was too much on the sides for me, and ended up serging out an inch and a half, including the pockets, tapering to the sleeve. I saved it, and I’ll wear it again, but I won’t make it again unless I follow the pattern with a knit.
