The front twist is a little tricky, but once it clicked in my head, it was fine. It came out a little big, I decided to stitch where the crossover is (for my modesty). I’m going to make another in smaller size. 😁

I had to throw out the pattern as well as the fabric for the Kira. It looks so pretty, but I couldn’t figure out how to do the front twist. For me, this a loser pattern.

From the moment I saw this pattern, I knew I had to make it – it is beautiful! The front draping is very flattering and the sleeves with the gathering and wide cuffs gives this top a very feminine look. The pattern looks complicated, but if you read through the instructions before you start, and – very important – transfer the markings and the dots on the pattern pieces, it is actually a very quick and easy make. I made my Kira top in a soft jersey material using the size 6 pattern (with no alterations).

I love this top have made two now, quite easy to make, just had to catch the bottom at the crossover as it moves a bit higher.

Kira has become one of my favorite tops ! I used a bamboo spandex knit for my most recent one. I was confused by the criss cross front and referred to the tutorial. I secured one side and hung on my dress maker form to formalize the drape. I also used a fusible tape for the hem before stitching the hems. I tend to push up sleeves so elastic in a casing instead of cuff. I broke my arm and elbow before I could take a photo. Once healthy I will put a photo on Facebook
