I loved the fit of the regular Loren Jacket so I bought the Loren Jacket Extension pack for mainly the lining pieces. However, I also love the choose-your-own adventure options for the extension pack jackets. I am currently working on a nutmeg-coloured linen for the safari-style jacket option. I am using the notched collar, belt, regular pocket with pocket flap and epaulets. I modified the regular pocket to have a centre pleat as in other safari-style jackets. You have to pay attention when reading through the pattern pieces and instructions because you have to reference the original Loren Jacket pattern pieces and instructions. The extension pack doesn’t combine the original and extension pattern pieces and instructions into one package. If you already made the original, then it isn’t a stretch to make the modifications for the extension jackets. Beware the extension front piece combines the large wide collar and notched collar on the same pattern piece. It took me a while to figure that out and thought there was 2 separate front pieces. LOL! I plan to make a dark brown velveteen extension jacket using the large collar and round pocket in the future. I love this jacket and have been immensely enjoying the options. I can’t make enough of these jackets! They are a great addition to any capsule wardrobe.
