An easy make. The shorter length is definitely for the beach or over bathers, too short to be worn as a dress. I put elastic in the casing instead of the draw string which worked really well too.

Love this pattern. Easy to slip on: V neck is not “too” low and the sleeves are flattering.
I made the full length in a very light border denim, and had the border across the front bodice as well as round the hem.
Just one comment – the short version really is just a top and for me would need to be significantly longer to be a short dress – the illustration is a bit misleading in my opinion.
Already have made a top and a full length so next project is to lengthen the skirt of the short version to produce a beach cover up.
Really, a great pattern and very forgiving with the drawstring waistline if the diet has gone out the window on holiday.

This is super easy to make and really lovely as a cover-up for the garden, or, by the pool. I made one for a friend who‘s going on a cruise and made it extra special by choosing a contrast colour for the cord and the facing, which I attached to the outside for extra interest.
