The design is cute but after making a toile, I abandoned the pattern. I found the dolman sleeves very unflattering for my full bust.

Made the Trudy tunic in a soft rayon. The shoulder-sleeve line is quite elegant. Some changes: I made the buttonholes immediately after doing the fly front (step 2) and sewed the side seams completely. Happy with the result.

This is a super differant style top was a bit unsure about the tucks at first but it works well ,I wear it with the sleeves pushed up and did adjust this to make it tighter ,it’s lovely and cool and comfortable to wear and does not need cuffs or gussets .I’ve had many compliments when wearing this blouse ,keep up the good work

The tunic is a good shape until you try to raise your arms ! As a teacher this is a necessity and it is quite impossible as the whole garment has to move. Therefore I inserted gussets in the underarm to make it wearable .
Definitely a design fault. A garment has to function as well as look good .

Nice pattern but I inserted a gusset into the underarm seam to allow upward movement of the arm. Without this insert it was impossible to raise the arm without the whole garment moving up.

Have just finished making this shirt in white linen. Was worried if I would like the raglan sleeve but really happy with the finished garment. Think it will be very cool and comfortable and will become a favourite. The instructions for the fly opening could probably be made clearer to help inexperienced sewers.

Love this tunic. Made mine in rayon and it drapes nicely.
For me I needed to adjust the side seams smaller. I always use a size 14 for tops and these patterns are generous.

Style Arc is my go-to for patterns now. Trust that they will go together beautifully and have used some patterns multiple times.

I love the designs of Style Arc. This is my third pattern but I still get nervous about the vague instructions. The blouse came out great. I did add cuffs to make it look a little more finished. (this would be a great add on item)

I had never sewn a collar and stand, nor a concealed fly front but this shirt turned out beautifully. I made it in a cotton , linen mix and I have had several compliments when I have worn it.

I will definitely make it again, perhaps in a fabric with more drape and I may lengthen it to give a little more coverage with leggings.

Just completed the tunic using a cotton linen blend. Very pleased with how well the tunic came out, especially the collar. The color illustrations were really helpful. I am 5′ 10″ and I added two inches to the length of this tunic to adjust for height.

How Do I Know What Size I Am?

Choosing your pattern size is the most important step and we will help you determine this with these easy to follow steps.

  1. When taking your measurements ensure that you take them against your skin and not over clothing. One can wear a comfortable bra and knickers whilst measuring, as this will provide you with the most accurate measurements.
  2. Tape measure has to sit firmly around the points you are measuring. But be careful not to pull it too tight, as this will give you the incorrect size.
  3. When measuring circumferences (B, C, D, E) it is important to note that the tape measure must remain parallel to the floor. It is sometimes best to take the measurements in front of a mirror; this will help you see the angle of the tape measure.
  4. You will only require the basic body measurements to determine your pattern size which is indicated on our mannequin below:
A. Shoulder Breadth

Place the tape at the edge of the shoulder. Measure along the top of the shoulder blade/across the highest point of the shoulders to the other edge, following the natural slope and allow an extra finger for ease of any movement.

B. Upper Arm Girth

This point is taken as a circumference at your widest point of your upper arm.

C. Bust

This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the fullest part of your chest.

D. Waist

This point is taken as a circumference and taken at the smallest part of your waist.

E. Hip

This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the widest part of your hips.
