An extremely flattering top.
I made this from a shot linen and it is stunning. I did remove the back opening and tested it before the facings were cut and attached the neckline was deep enough to go over my head.
I will make this top again next time in a light and floaty fabric.

Watch out for the neckline : dramatic pattern with one caveat for those of us ordering the sizes 24 – 30. Beware the neckline. I checked all my measurements and made a few adjustments (FBA) and bicep area. I didn’t give the neck opening a thought because I don’t usually have a problem with those. The line drawing shows a neckline that is close to the base of your neck. In the upper sizes (I don’t know about the smaller sizes), the neckline is a gigantic opening that shows both bra straps and drops down in back and front. More suited to a horse’s neck. Anyway, I went back and drafted a neckline that more closely resembled the picture. I had to add about 2inches height in the back and 4 inches in the front and 2 inches to the shoulder width on each side. That’s a lot of adding to get a neckline that looks like the line drawing. Other than that, the garment goes together very well and looks very nice. It works with wovens and stable knits. Next I’m planning to try with a little more stretchy stable knit. It is a pretty pattern, just adjust the neckline to fit your neck and I think it will be a winner.
