Lovely, relaxed, knit sweater. I am 5’11” measure as a size 14 – I found the pattern slightly oversized and would try a size 12 next time. Depends on how you like your clothes to fit. The sewing was easy and the pattern went together quickly. I love the details of the deeper topstitched hems, and the dart in the shoulder.

Great design. I made size 16 in sweatshirt fabric and it is just right. I thought the pockets were a bit small but once wearing it they seem fine for me to get a tissue in and put hands in – just. About to make a second one. Love Stylearc patterns!

As per usual with StyleArc patterns for me the fit was spot on. I am a size 16 and it fit as it should – slightly oversized but that is what was intended. The pockets were too small and not like the picture so made them larger, easy to do. I am only 5ft 2″ so shortened the body and sleeves. I tried the sweater on before hemming and decided to put on a waistband and sleeve cuffs (copied from the Fitzroy) and was very pleased with the result. Used a sweatshirt fabric so very comfy and warm to wear. Will make more in a lighter weight fabric. Neck and shoulder area (shoulder darts esp) fits really well.

This pattern was very easy to put together and I went down a size because I looked at the finished measurements , However it still turned out huge . I thought maybe they had sent me the wrong pattern . I was disappointed how it turned out but not how it could be easily it could be sewn up. I think the style is lovely.

This is such an easy pattern to sew and it made up very quickly. I love anything with raglan sleeves as I find they are a more flattering style for me. I did make the pockets bigger as I felt they were too small but not an issue. Great pattern.

I made the 14 but next time I’d make the 12. That said, I loved this pattern and it was my first time working with jersey. Ps. I had not trouble. The fit is great and a bit loose. I didn’t put the pockets on because I didn’t want to bring attention to my belly area. Next time I’d shorten the lenghten because I don’t wear anything below my hips.
I love my TEE Shirt and can’t wait to make more.

This was a fairly easy sewing project. The fit was a bit oversized, but that was what I was looking for. The only complaint I have is that the pockets seem too small and do not match the illustration.

How Do I Know What Size I Am?

Choosing your pattern size is the most important step and we will help you determine this with these easy to follow steps.

  1. When taking your measurements ensure that you take them against your skin and not over clothing. One can wear a comfortable bra and knickers whilst measuring, as this will provide you with the most accurate measurements.
  2. Tape measure has to sit firmly around the points you are measuring. But be careful not to pull it too tight, as this will give you the incorrect size.
  3. When measuring circumferences (B, C, D, E) it is important to note that the tape measure must remain parallel to the floor. It is sometimes best to take the measurements in front of a mirror; this will help you see the angle of the tape measure.
  4. You will only require the basic body measurements to determine your pattern size which is indicated on our mannequin below:
A. Shoulder Breadth

Place the tape at the edge of the shoulder. Measure along the top of the shoulder blade/across the highest point of the shoulders to the other edge, following the natural slope and allow an extra finger for ease of any movement.

B. Upper Arm Girth

This point is taken as a circumference at your widest point of your upper arm.

C. Bust

This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the fullest part of your chest.

D. Waist

This point is taken as a circumference and taken at the smallest part of your waist.

E. Hip

This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the widest part of your hips.
