Product Description
This cleverly designed style has no side seams allowing it to fall beautifully around the body. The grain of the fabric falls on the sides allowing the front and back to drape freely. The neckline is shaped to fit close to the side neck and finishes into a slim “V”. The slightly extended shoulder line is very flattering. Wide welted pockets add to the designer look of this dress. This is a versatile dress that can be worn on hot days or pop on a skivvy during the colder months.

I made this frock in linen, just love it. Although I did find it ran big, I made it in my usual SA size 18 & it was quite loose on me. I really didn’t fancy removing all the facings to change the fit around the neck & arms so after many hours thinking about it I realised it has a centre front & back seams! So off came the neck facing, took in both seams by the required amount & voila, fitted much better. Once I’d drawn new facings for the neckline it was perfect. I did lengthen it a fair bit & I love the long graceful fall & swing the dress has. I will make this again after I have altered the neck & armscye to fit me better. My fault for not carefully measuring first, I do usually have to alter those areas & take them down a size.
