A beautiful light dress and directions were simple enough to follow for someone with moderate experience. I have a large bust to waist ratio so I added some modifications to give it a little more structure- added depth to the cup with an fba, added boning to the sides of the bodice, and sewed the straps down, as buttoning them pulled too much on the back fabric. Very happy!

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear you’re so happy with your finished dress and that you found the instructions easy to follow. Thank you also for sharing the thoughtful modifications you made—your full bust adjustment, added boning, and securing the straps are fantastic tips for sewists with a similar bust-to-waist ratio. It’s always inspiring to see how a pattern can be customised to achieve the perfect fit. We hope you enjoy wearing your beautiful dress and thank you again for taking the time to share your experience!

Beautiful and flattering summer dress. The shirred elastic back, waist tie, and cross-over bodice gives a good fit without being too revealing. I added bra cups and stitched the crossover bodice in the center for additional support. The waist is more empire than I expected, but it is more flattering that way. Length was good (I’m 5’7”).

Brilliant pattern. Took me a bit of time to get my head around the pattern as it is very different to what I am used to. I made a couple of modifications to the length and I attached the straps. Loved the pattern so much I have made it in two different fabrics.

This is a beautiful summer dress and exactly what I wanted. I made a size 12 grading to a 14 at the waist and hips in a rayon print.
I didn’t have quite enough fabric for the skirt length and pieced together leftover bits to add a ruffle at the hem.
I had to sew the wrap closed at the busy because it was gaping too much and I also added bra cups inside the bodice.
The only other mod I made was sewing the straps to the back panel as my fabric was too lightweight for buttons.
I’ll definitely make this pattern again but next time I’ll do a small bust adjustment and I’ll use a more stable fabric. This dress would be lovely in linen for summer.
