I LOVE this dress! I thought it would be really complicated but in the end it came together very easily. Perfect fit with no adjustments required. I will definitely make it again.

What a different take on the classic shirt dress. I thought I was going to struggle with the pattern, but it worked out beautifully. I made the sleeveless version, but I want to make it again with sleeves.

I love the style of this dress. I made a modification by creating pin tucks on a section of fabric and then cut the top center bodice pattern piece on the pin tucked fabric. It looks great. However – I have been sewing for about 60 years and have taught sewing and made everything from casual to complicated formal wear. I found portions of this pattern very odd. The methods for attaching the collar and cuffs seemed backwards to me and the instructions were very unclear which seems to be a recurring theme in these reviews. I did use the QR code for the tutorial, hoping that would help. I would suggest that for future videos, you could use a fabric that had an obvious right and wrong side. The checked fabric was a bit difficult to see what you were doing and the white fabric in the still shots was also challenging. That being said, I did manage to finish the dress and it looks good but it took far longer than I anticipated. BTW, I had no problem with the placket width. I wish I could post a photo but don’t want to post it on social media to be able to do that.

Very nice pattern but instructions are not great! There were no lengthen and shorten lines on the pattern pieces that I could see. I usually need to shorten my patterns since I am only 5’3”. I did find the front placket too narrow for putting on the buttonholes. The dress did turn out very well and it is the perfect casual Summer dress. Beginner sewers would find the instructions difficult!

Fun pattern to make. I made this for someone that the pattern was a great match for although they wear a much shorter skirt length so I made the adjustments for them. Not crazy about the center placket size. I would prefer a wider button area to work with and for easier buttoning and unbuttoning.

Brilliant pattern, instructions get a bit sketchy towards the end, ie collar onto neck, but as I sew a lot I was able to manage this but think a learner would struggle, but saying that a great pattern, very similar to the Maye denim dress which was £106 made mine for £40, currently on my 3 dress, so that’s me ready for summer.
