Sew a large gathering stitch around the left front armhole from the shoulder seam down to the notch, draw in the stitch to match the length of the gathering guide. Pin the guide to the gathered armhole and stitch together to keep the correct armhole shape and length.

With right sides facing sew the front and back shoulder seams together, neaten with an overlocker/serger and press towards the back.

TUTORIALS - 2022-11-08T131215.531With right sides facing, sew the short ends of the neckband together. Turn to the right side, press in half lengthways and stay stitch the two raw edges together to hold in place.

Pin the neckband to the neck matching the centre front and centre back notches. Once in place stitch together slightly stretching the neckband as you sew.

Neaten the neck seam with an overlocker/serger and press downwards. Sew an edge stitch close to the seam on the side of the body, slightly stretching as you sew.

TUTORIALS - 2022-11-08T131350.041With right sides facing, sew the sleeves into the armhole openings, matching the notches as you sew. Neaten with an overlocker/serger and press towards the sleeve.

With right sides together sew the back and front side seams together. Sew from the hemline up to the underarm seam then continue sewing down the sleeve seam. Neaten with an overlocker/serger and press towards the back.

TUTORIALS - 2022-11-08T131637.031Overlock/serge the raw edges of the hems of the body and sleeves. Turn up once and sew the hems with a cover stitch, or slightly stretch as you sew on your sewing machine.

Lightly press your new tee shirt. We suggest to use a cloth over your top and steam press.
