In a relaxed yet tailored fit, these pants have an elastic waist band and inseam pockets. The cleverly designed tuck at the hem gives these pants the on trend look of the season. Go casual with our Besharl Tee and flat sandals or add our Besharl Jacket for a more sophisticated look.

The Besharl pants are the best pants I’ve made. The fit and the look are perfect for me. really simple to put together. I made them in a heavier weight cotton and have cut out 2 more 1 in light weight chambray, the other heavy weight denim. I love all Style Arc patterns, the fit and the style are great, easy to assemble and I get lots of compliments.

Another great style arc pant pattern. Barry is the best, but this is a definite second. Cool pleat detail and really nice fit. My alterations were to crop them and add a good couple of inches to the rise ( otherwise they would have sat on my hips which I can’t stand). I’ve learned to ignore SA instructions and just use my own knowledge to sew their patterns. The text is tiny and the instructions are non existent . Anyway, if you want a cool pant pattern get this one ( after Barry of course)

As a few others have stated, The pattern is beautiful but the instructions are very lacking, And there is no easy way to find video tutorials online. I tried Facebook, and a general search. If you are selling downloadable patterns you could include clearer instructions, and recruit some of your experienced sewists to produce videos if stylearc can’t spend the $. I was able to create a decent product but it could have been better.

The pant style is attractive and quick to sew. ALL of the StyleArc patterns though are seriously lacking in instructions.
Sewing basics such as finishing seam edges, backstitching at seam ends and how to thread elastic are reasonable to omit – assuming that the sewer has experience.
Instructions such as “Attach waistband to pant” is just poor quality. I have recently purchased a SA pattern with a combined flat and elastic waistband style. I’m going to seek out YouTube help to refresh my knowledge.
SA patterns are not inexpensive. I only buy them when I can’t find a better source. Fix your stuff, please!

I am very happy with my first pair of Besharl pants. The size 12 was a perfect fit with a length alteration as I am barely 5 feet tall. I used navy blue fabric from my stash; it feels like a very fine wool or wool blend crepe which provided a perfect drape for the side tucks. The pants could be casual or dressy depending upon other fashion choices and accessories.
The only change I will make in the future is to take a shorter tuck; on a short leg the tuck narrows the pants at the calf causing them to feel tight, especially when sitting.

I love this pattern. They are so comfy and a great fit with no alterations. I made a pair exactly as the pattern but I also made a pair without the ankle pleats as the legs are such a great shape.
This is now my go to pattern for trousers.

I am really pleased with the outcome! This was my first trousers pattern and it worked well. For some tricky parts I would have been thankful for some detailed fotos. But with some thinking it wasn‘t really difficult. I made them with ramie, size 14, and they fit exactly as they should and are very comfy. I will sure sew another one this summer.

Love them! I made them out of a black linen, size 12, and they fit perfectly. First time I made slacks that I could wear without altering. I’ll be sewing this pattern again …. and again.

How Do I Know What Size I Am?
Choosing your pattern size is the most important step and we will help you determine this with these easy to follow steps.
When taking your measurements ensure that you take them against your skin and not over clothing. One can wear a comfortable bra and knickers whilst measuring, as this will provide you with the most accurate measurements.
Tape measure has to sit firmly around the points you are measuring. But be careful not to pull it too tight, as this will give you the incorrect size.
When measuring circumferences (B, C, D, E) it is important to note that the tape measure must remain parallel to the floor. It is sometimes best to take the measurements in front of a mirror; this will help you see the angle of the tape measure.
You will only require the basic body measurements to determine your pattern size which is indicated on our mannequin below:
A. Shoulder Breadth
Place the tape at the edge of the shoulder. Measure along the top of the shoulder blade/across the highest point of the shoulders to the other edge, following the natural slope and allow an extra finger for ease of any movement.
B. Upper Arm Girth
This point is taken as a circumference at your widest point of your upper arm.
C. Bust
This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the fullest part of your chest.
D. Waist
This point is taken as a circumference and taken at the smallest part of your waist.
E. Hip
This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the widest part of your hips.
