Purchased this pattern a couple of weeks ago and have already made two versions, one in a zebra-style woven rayon, and the second in red – ready for Christmas! I made them as 7/8’s and love them, beautiful in the rayon fabric as it drapes so well. I opted to not actually sew the elastic into the waistband as the pattern suggests and rather just attached it at both ends, seemed to work well for this kind of fabric.

I made these in a cotton linen blend. They are very quick to make and very comfortable to wear. I didn’t use any interfacing but will on my next drapier version for me. My mother liked them so much I am making a pair for her.

I made my prototype in a very light linen, I interfaced the waist bands, light interfacing on the back band and a slightly heavier on the front band. I added 2 inches to the length, I cut the pattern as the 7/8 length. I wanted to have a 3 inch hem to add some weight to the bottom, this worked very well. ( I am only 5ft 2in) I am nearly finished another linen pair and I have another cotton/linen pair cut out.
These pants are very stylish and sooooooo comfortable to wear.

Excellent pattern if you like wide leg pants. Easy to follow directions. Would like to do them in a fabric with lots of drape next time, as I used a suiting fabric and it was slightly too heavy.

I made these pants in a silk cotton and love them.
I had some issues due the fact that I had printed out the wrong size pattern 2 sizes to big and was half way through cutting them out before I realized my error.
I sewed them up anyway and then had to unpick them and remove about 10cm from the side seams.
Thoroughly worth it and I ended up with a great result.
I am planning to make another pair [ in the correct size this time] in crepe for a evening pant .
I recommend this pattern
