Just finished these trousers in stretch twill and made no adjustments as I have made various Style Arc patterns and felt sure it would be okay. I found the pattern as usual difficult to follow especially when it came to the waistband. I found a you tube video and had a urgh moment when I realised how easy it was. Still think the pattern assembly needs a better explanation. Having said all that I am smitten with the Style Arc patterns and have made at least 3/4 of the trousers and numerous tops. Size seems spot on but instructions lacking. Still a great fan though!

After a rocky start (entirely my fault – I somehow cut these 4 sizes too big), I have to say these pants are GORGEOUS. The crotch fits (I’ve never had that happen without some major adjustments), the pockets are in the right places. I lengthened the legs an inch (my usual length adjustment is more like 4 inches), making the length perfect. I’m going to have to make at least one more pair of these pants before I move on to another pattern.
StyleArc is now one of my two favorite pattern companies. Thank you!!

Paper pattern is a must for me, so I am happy to pay the small increase to have this full pattern delivered to my door.
Love, love, love these jeans. The fit is fabulous and I needed to make no alterations, even in the leg length – unusual for my long legs.
I am about to use pattern again, this time in a blue. I would happily make every pair of pants I wear from a self drafted variation of this pattern.

I am very happy with this pattern and I will make it again. I found the size to be as expected, the fit good and did not rund into any difficulties putting it together. The pattern is well drafted and I did not need any adjustments. As a person who love topstitching I am happy with there being a lot of it on this garment – or you can choose not to if it’s not your ting. As for other StyleArc-patterns the instructions are scarce and it will not be suitable for an absolute beginner. As always I find the instructions on putting in the waistband with elastics confusing even though it comes with drawings – so I did that my own way. I have quite a few StyleArc-patterns and I will continue to buy them because they are modern and well drafted. I wear a size 16 in trousers/jeans in ready to wear, and that’s the size I made the Georgie jean in as well.

How Do I Know What Size I Am?
Choosing your pattern size is the most important step and we will help you determine this with these easy to follow steps.
When taking your measurements ensure that you take them against your skin and not over clothing. One can wear a comfortable bra and knickers whilst measuring, as this will provide you with the most accurate measurements.
Tape measure has to sit firmly around the points you are measuring. But be careful not to pull it too tight, as this will give you the incorrect size.
When measuring circumferences (B, C, D, E) it is important to note that the tape measure must remain parallel to the floor. It is sometimes best to take the measurements in front of a mirror; this will help you see the angle of the tape measure.
You will only require the basic body measurements to determine your pattern size which is indicated on our mannequin below:
A. Shoulder Breadth
Place the tape at the edge of the shoulder. Measure along the top of the shoulder blade/across the highest point of the shoulders to the other edge, following the natural slope and allow an extra finger for ease of any movement.
B. Upper Arm Girth
This point is taken as a circumference at your widest point of your upper arm.
C. Bust
This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the fullest part of your chest.
D. Waist
This point is taken as a circumference and taken at the smallest part of your waist.
E. Hip
This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the widest part of your hips.
