Great pattern – simple and looks great. I used a fabric with a decent stretch (not a jersey, a ribbed cotton number). I think I’d have been a little self concious of my waist if I’d used anything firmer: this pattern is true to size, so if you normally size down in SA patterns consider going by your measurements, especially if using a firm ponte.
Made the 3/4 sleeve top with the crew neckline, it fitted easily without needing an opening. I suspect you’ll be ok with everything barring a woven (def size up!) or very firm ponte. Great for work, will make the dress next.

Hi Caroline,
Thank you so much for your detailed review! We’re thrilled to hear you enjoyed the pattern and found it simple to sew with a great result. It’s also really helpful to hear about how different fabric choices affect the fit, especially your experience with the ribbed cotton and firmer fabrics.
We’re so glad the top worked well for you and that you’re already planning to make the dress next! We hope you love it just as much. Happy sewing!

This is a great pattern! It took me longer to assemble and cut out the pattern than to actually sew the dress, which probably took about 90 minutes. I used scuba crepe and the dress fits great and looks super elegant. I made the long sleeve, boat neck version with the godet.

Scuba crepe sounds like a fantastic fabric choice.
