I made this one out a lighter flowy crepe fabric and ended up altering it from having facing to be fully lined (my bad with the fabric choice as it was a bit too sheer!).
Otherwise, it was a fun, good beginner pattern.

I am 66 years old and have never worn anything like this before, so I decided to try it. I made it out of a black linen blend. I did need to make some changes. To keep it light and flowing, I omitted the hem facings and did a small serged hem. I plan to make this again out of a rayon blend and will include the hem facings for that one. I also shortened the straps – although next time I will adjust the length from bust to waist (I am 5.5″ and short waisted) instead. Lastly, I did not like the pocket insertion method but tried it anyway. I think I will do the pockets the traditional way the next time. I do love this pattern and the fun and carefree look it gives. I wore it with a close-fitting short sleeved white cotton top underneath. Perfect!

I loved making my wearable toile of the Norman Jumpsuit. I used a doona cover white with big brown blue and maroon daisies. I have it to my daughter who loved it. Mine will be mustard with black mini stripes. Can’t wait to get into it!!

Love it! I didn’t make any adjustments but decided next time I would do an FBA ( I’m 38DD). It gaped a bit at the bust but I remedied that by forming a casing at the gaping part and inserting elastic. It looks great! I have to wear a cami under because of the deep cut armholes, but I like that about this pattern too. A jumpsuit must be easy to get in and out of and this one is. I did not think I’d want more than one of these but I think I need at least one more and perhaps another knee length. The straps are perfect and the instructions top notch.

This is fun, easy, and fast. I made mine for a cool summer outfit. For a casual but more dressy look, I’ll pair the cotton jumpsuit with a linen jacket. I started making this because it looked really comfortable; then I saw the fashion weeks from Paris, London, Milan, & NYC & the designers were featuring the wide leg pants that make this jumpsuit so current. I’ll be making this in a variety of fabrics.

How Do I Know What Size I Am?
Choosing your pattern size is the most important step and we will help you determine this with these easy to follow steps.
When taking your measurements ensure that you take them against your skin and not over clothing. One can wear a comfortable bra and knickers whilst measuring, as this will provide you with the most accurate measurements.
Tape measure has to sit firmly around the points you are measuring. But be careful not to pull it too tight, as this will give you the incorrect size.
When measuring circumferences (B, C, D, E) it is important to note that the tape measure must remain parallel to the floor. It is sometimes best to take the measurements in front of a mirror; this will help you see the angle of the tape measure.
You will only require the basic body measurements to determine your pattern size which is indicated on our mannequin below:
A. Shoulder Breadth
Place the tape at the edge of the shoulder. Measure along the top of the shoulder blade/across the highest point of the shoulders to the other edge, following the natural slope and allow an extra finger for ease of any movement.
B. Upper Arm Girth
This point is taken as a circumference at your widest point of your upper arm.
C. Bust
This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the fullest part of your chest.
D. Waist
This point is taken as a circumference and taken at the smallest part of your waist.
E. Hip
This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the widest part of your hips.
