This is an amazing pattern. I made it with the cutest fruit mince pie fabric for my xmas-shirt -loving nephew.
If you ever plan to update the pattern to include a collar stand, that would be fabulous. But the pattern is great as it – I’d say this is my neatest shirt I’ve ever sewn!

Made size 2 for slim 14 months old. It fitted snugly around the chest so I rechecked the 10cm square and it was 9.8cm. So I will try to reprint pattern for next garment

A great kids pattern with all sizes included. I cut a size 3 for an almost 3 year old. I have a new printer and had a couple of issues – the test square (which I often don’t do!) came out small, so I had to print at 103% to get it right. It would actually make quite a difference if it’s not correct. The pattern has 2 files included, 2-7, and 7-14. I used layers and chose size 3. When I hit print, it kept printing the 7-14 pattern. I finally realised it was because my printer was doing the last page in the file first, and I hadn’t ‘unchecked’ the tick boxes for all the sizes in the 2nd file.
The shirt came together well and was easy to construct (love the burrito way of doing the yolk, which I had only done once before). I don’t know if Stylearc presume you will do it, or it is poor method, but they don’t tell you to fold in the inside edge of the collar before sewing both sides together, so when you come to attach it, it is messy attaching the collar at the ends where the top of the placket has to tuck under. They also tell you to sew the pocket on last – much easier to do it as a first step.

Made this out of a linen effect fabric printed with New York landmarks. 7 year old granddaughter paraded with it over a white tee shirt and black linen cut off trousers. My daughter points out I’ve made a rod fir my own back…. Brilliant pattern: I’ve got two more in mind…your patterns are so inspiring!
