Awesome wee dress for my granddaughter haven’t sewed for 30 years but had no issues with pattern. Bought multi pattern size so this will be a staple of her wardrobe for a while and options for adding pockets, appliqué colours etc for this pattern are endless. Will also try it is a lightweight knit as a wee nightie I think. Thanks stylearc Very happy. Ps can you add a pdf option to make adding a photo nice and simple?

This looked like an easy make, but it was far from easy! I am not new to dressmaking but I found the instructions decidedly lacking in clarity and confusing to say the least. As for the sleeve facing, the written instructions are useless. I had to view their video to be able to understand what was required and had I not seen the video, two dresses would still be sitting there partly made. The instructions really need a link to the video to explain how to do this. It’s a clever technique, but if you’ve not come across it before you’ll be stumped!
The instructions I found to be generally poor. Some bits repeated, words on one page, then on the next page some diagrams, but the two didn’t really match up and it was confusing. I like the things I’ve made from this site but have a feeling I won’t be back for more.

Adorable, and a great ‘canvas’ for embelishment! An easy sew and I love the idea of adding pockets.

A well drafted and stylish pattern. I added in-seam, curved opening pockets, with a contrasting pocket bearer, finished the garment with french seams which combined with the yoke lining ensured a clean finish. Made two so far.

I thought it was great and found the facing worked fine for me!

Seeing the first 2 reviews, I have to concur. This should be a simple sew but the instructions are not complete and clear on how to follow the directions and have a successful finish to this project. Hope you consider updating the directions to make it clear how the facing is to be done.

I’m still finding my feet with dressmaking so my skills weren’t quite good enough to understand the facing instructions properly. However, I really enjoyed making this dress: my daughter is delighted with it and has already requested another longer one.
Safe to say it was a good learning experience and it was well received.

Lovely pattern. I didn’t quite have enough sewing experience to know how to do the facing (turning it through) but Lyn at Stylearc was extremely helpful. Once I knew the technique it was easy! I would highly recommend this pattern.
