I’ve not finished sewing this yet as I’m finding it difficult to follow the instructions. I shall probably just improvise and hope for the best!

Have made both versions and sent photos to our sewing group on Whatsapp. As one put it. “Not got hang appeal”. I then secure the pleats in the sleeve version under the epaulettes which certainly improved the look for me. Love the sleeveless version which I made with an odd bit of leftover fabric from another project.

I love the finished crop top (I’ve been wanting to make a top in this style for a long time). The garment is easy enough to make, but the instructions are not clear and there aren’t really illustrations to explain the steps . There’s just a series of text based instructions, that have typos and are run-on sentences so it’s really confusing to follow. There’s 1 illustration in the whole packet. For paying a premium price for the pattern, I expected more instruction.
I emailed my questions, and someone responded a week later basically restating what was in the instructions (not helpful). I ended up figuring things out for myself through trial and error.
For context, I am an experienced sewer. I would only recommend this pattern if you are experienced at sewing and constructing garments and are prepared to figure out the instructions without any guidance.

I have made both of these tops and love them both! The first two were made of denim, one embroidered and the other plain, to go with an embroidered denim Bonnie skirt. I’m so excited about these garments and can’t wait to wear them. The next ones I make will be a linen/eucalyptus blend. Using the measurements of the pattern guide, I found them to be a perfect fit with no alterations, always a plus for me, as I am 5’11” tall and am currently wearing StyleArc’s size 14. A win all around!

Very easy to follow the pattern. I love being able to download and print patterns so I can use them immediately. Sizing was accurate.

Made three of these, one in linen and two in cotton. I sized down and didn’t need to undo buttons to get the top on. Its a lovely pattern. The hardest part was top stitching the armhole and neck facings so there was no puckering. Might be my lack of skill,

Made this in a lovely soft linen, like the design with buttons down the back, looks smart. I am able to pull it over my head without having to undo. I did go down a size as it is quite full unless you like it blousy. Was quite easy to sew.
