I made the Kennie in a printed linen cotton blend. I love the collar. It’s so dramatic! I took my time with gathering the frills and getting them to sit right especially on the collar points. Construction was pretty simple and I didn’t have any problems. I shortened the sleeves to elbow length and had to make the cuffs longer so they sit on my elbow area. I will make this pattern again. Next time I’ll shorten the length (the length of th shirt currently hits the widest part of my anatomy) and adjust the armscye to give myself a bit more room under the arms.

I loved this shirt/blouse, made it in a white Embroidery onglaze fabric just the correct length and I loved the neck collar with the frilly bit, size was good but the only thing I had to alter was the sleeve armhole, came up slightly too big for me, Sorry I don’t do social media! So unfortunately I still can not send you any photos. but I would recommend Style Ark patterns as they are so easy to make.

Love the style of this shirt. I had 2m of fabric which was plenty for size 10/12. Made up with the frillto collar- make sure you gather a little more around the collar point. The front was much too low, luckily I was able to cut the fronts and collar from the fabric-but no frill this time, it was cut across the grain- it was a strange fabric, no right side or grain, soft taffeta type.
I raised the neckline 1.5ā and shortened collar. Itās still a little low, also I think mine needs small shoulder pads. I also put a button on the cuffs as I like to be able to push the sleeves up. Iāll probably make it again with a few more alterations.

Love StyleArc patterns I’ve sewn, the Kennie Shirt was no exception. I make my garments by hand sewing and found the pattern adapted well to those techniques. I gave the design a slight western flair with plaid fabric and decorative snaps as I am not a frills person but I saw the review and picture with eyelet lace from pikepan which has me rethinking hw to do my next Kennie.

beautiful pattern. i was too scared to do the collar frill, so left it off my 1st attempt, but the collar still has a wow factor.
beautifully put together, i initially thought it was going to be too small, but its very decieving, and when i tried it on it was perfect. next time I will add the frill to the collar and add an inch to the body, as i like my blouses a little longer.
will definately be making more of this pattern, its exactly as the drawing.

The collar inspired me to make this shirt. The frill had me curious would I like the finished result?
The voile I used gathered nicely so that the frill on the edge of the collar lays flat. The shirts ease suits the drape of the voile.
. Surprisingly I liked it so much that I have completed a second shirt.

Really enjoyed making this shirt. It is not a style I am usually drawn to, but I had to try it. It’s quite oversized so I’m not exactly sure how to wear it but I am guessing it will be easier when it’s not freezing cold here and I can wear it without covering it up with 10 layers. The construction was fun and pretty straight forward. Glad I had some shirt making experience to help fill in any ‘assumed knowledge’ gaps in the instructions. Always love the fit and style of StyleArc patterns and the Kennie is no exception.
