I sewed this up in a bonded stretch black crepe with decent weight to to it. Was amazed at how quickly it came together and the professional finished product. Very flattering. Corporate dress worthy. I have a large bust and made to bust measurements. It looks great, but could have gone down a size. V was tricky, but previous sewing experience helped navigate this.

The Mila designer dress pattern, this is my first with this company, and after not sewing for close to 30 yrs a lot has changed by way of material. First off I love the pattern. I can go to my pattern for step by step assurance and I know that if I can’t find my answer I can contact Styl Arc with no problems. Mila dress was as easy as it gets. All though I choose material that wasn’t so easy. Once I worked out the proper needle and thread had the sewing done in less then an hour. The pattern forwarened the trouble spot being the point in front and suggested how to get through it. Being my first garment in many moons I am not satisfied with the crispness of the point, could have been the material I choose. Over all I am satisfied and ready to move on to my next pattern. Thanks Style Arc people, Cher

Elegant and easy fitting dress that is suitable for a variety of fabrics. Very slimming. Take your time sewing the front to get the crisp point in the top panel. I combined a bengaline with a stretch woven for a versatile dress.

How Do I Know What Size I Am?
Choosing your pattern size is the most important step and we will help you determine this with these easy to follow steps.
When taking your measurements ensure that you take them against your skin and not over clothing. One can wear a comfortable bra and knickers whilst measuring, as this will provide you with the most accurate measurements.
Tape measure has to sit firmly around the points you are measuring. But be careful not to pull it too tight, as this will give you the incorrect size.
When measuring circumferences (B, C, D, E) it is important to note that the tape measure must remain parallel to the floor. It is sometimes best to take the measurements in front of a mirror; this will help you see the angle of the tape measure.
You will only require the basic body measurements to determine your pattern size which is indicated on our mannequin below:
A. Shoulder Breadth
Place the tape at the edge of the shoulder. Measure along the top of the shoulder blade/across the highest point of the shoulders to the other edge, following the natural slope and allow an extra finger for ease of any movement.
B. Upper Arm Girth
This point is taken as a circumference at your widest point of your upper arm.
C. Bust
This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the fullest part of your chest.
D. Waist
This point is taken as a circumference and taken at the smallest part of your waist.
E. Hip
This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the widest part of your hips.
