Fabulous new pattern and the new style of instructions are wonderful, the video instructions are easy to follow with each section of the sew having it own video. The large pleats in the pants give a very elegant look and I used a linen/cupro/tencel blend fabric which was the ideal fabric for the pattern. It was lovely to see a new pant pattern with a waistband and not elastic, the extended waistband is also different from the usual pant pattern. the pattern also extends itself to omitting the fly front and having an invisible back zip, so many options, love it.

I am utterly obsessed with my new Nala pants!!! When the pattern came out, I new it was going to be my next project as I’d been looking for some elegant pleated trousers. I didn’t expect them to look and feel so good on me though so that was an added bonus. Loved the instructions, the construction and how wide legged they are. They are perfect for someone like me with a significant waist to hip ratio. I’M OBSESSED 😍

Oh yes yes yes!
This pattern came out just as I was starting to think about making some elegant trousers for upcoming events. The pull-on style of most StyleArc casual pants aren’t my thing because I have a very significant waist/hip difference (18 waist, 26 hip by the size chart), but I gave these a shot and LOVE them.
The usual minimal instructions are sufficient for my level of experience, but the expanded instructions include a full set of finished measurements for all sizes which was super helpful – I was able to make fit adjustments on pattern tracings and didn’t need any more after a quick muslin.
Love the curved waistband, high waist, and deep pleat look; I’d prioritize drape over weight when picking fabric.

Thank you for sharing such a detailed review.
It’s great to hear the finished measurements helped you make the fit adjustments before cutting into your final fabric, particularly with the difference between your waist and hip measurements.
We are glad you love the high waist, curved waistband and deep pleats, these are key stand out features of Nala!
