Totally agree with the last review. Excellent basic for anybody’s wardrobe. I have tried several t shirt patterns from other companies with varying degrees of success. I wanted a go to, no fail pattern and found it in the Ellis t shirt. Already made 2 short sleeved and 2 long sleeved t shirts and I’m sure there will be many more. Doesn’t fit very well. Sleeves have high caps more like a jacket than an T-shirt and armseye too high for my body. Sat above my armpit! I made multiple adjustments like fba, increasing length made kneck line a bit lower too. Would have been better starting with my block and adjusting finishes by looking at the pattern.

This is a great t-shirt pattern that I have made many times. The only issue I had was upsizing on the advice of another review, which made it a little on the large size for me personally. Despite this, the style is so forgiving that I still wear the larger sized t-shirt without any problems. Style Arc patterns work for my body shape, so unlike many patterns, I rarely have to make adjustments. I have only made the basic crew neck t-shirt version so far, but I am looking forward to making a long sleeved breton top with this pattern soon.

I made the V neck short sleeve version in a cotton jersey. It’s a beautiful’V’ just the right depth and lies beautifully. I found the pattern was designed to a little closer fitting than otherSA knit tops I’ve made, which still fit me fine. I’ve just cut out the round neck in a size up to see which fit I like better. It’s also on the long side, so I did remove a few cm of length.

The Ellis is a great pattern. Easy and fast to make. I have made the round and boat neck styles in long sleeve and short and the fit is good. I’m usually a 12 in size but I made it in a 14 so it’s not clinging. I like how the boat neck is made with a wide facing which makes it sit beautifully. Would totally recommend.

I was hoping this was the boatneck T-shirt pattern of my dreams but it was not. I cut and made it exactly as instructed but the neckline was large and gaping and not the boatneck I was looking for. I made a size 10, and it just was not a true boatneck and was a larger neck opening than it appeared to be in the diagram. I am disappointed with this pattern.
