Just finished making a wearable muslin, as I’m thinking about making a lightweight coat-dress using this pattern. I used a poplin I had in stash which is fairly crisp, so didn’t interface the cuff, but I think it needs interfacing (optional on the pattern). Not sure about the overlapping collar, so I didn’t put the top button on as I don’t think I would wear it buttoned up to the collar.
I also adjusted the fit of the front raglans as I found the front was too big for me, although the back seems fine, and I rounded off the top of the sleeves to fit my shoulder better. I would also lengthen the sleeves by 1-2cm next time as they feel a bit short.
I ended up with a very nice dress which I am sure I will wear often, good trans-seasonal piece as can be worn as a dress or as a layering piece as shown in the drawings.

Five Stars! I love this pattern- it’s easy to sew and easy to wear. I have made 3 of them: linen, double gauze, and a crinkled cotton. All of them are great…I had to give one of them away to a friend who fell in love with it! Besides as a dress, I like to wear Anais as a light weight “jacket” in cooler seasons, or with jeans, worn as a shirt buttoned down to the high hip, then leaving the rest open. I always get compliments on Anais.
(The rating scale doesn’t seem to be working or I would have given it the top rating )

Easy shirt dress. Liked sleeve style—adds height to shoulders & easy style cuffs—no gathers or buttons. I shortened mine to 7/8. Also shortened dress slightly & made optional belt. Great on its own or over tights/skinny jeans. Made summer version in wild Lady McElroy print & plant to make another for Autumn in chocolate barn linen.
Great pattern, very fast to sew, made mine in a mid-weight linen also. Has a great style, fab sleeves and great length. Just have to add the buttons as i made 13 buttonholes down the front. 2 inches apart.I suggest you definitely give it a go!

When this pattern came out I was very excited, and ordered it as soon as I could.
I am still working on sewing the resulting garment out of a dark lavender linen. I will become a mainstay in my summer rotation.

As soon as I saw this pattern I knew I had to have it. I made mine from medium weight linen in a cerise colour, which I figure I can wear pretty much year round. I was so impressed by how well it all fitted together. It was a pleasure to sew. I plan to make numerous hacks with different fabrics and trying a shorter asymmetrical hemline perhaps. I’m so happy with this pattern and I highly recommend it.

How Do I Know What Size I Am?
Choosing your pattern size is the most important step and we will help you determine this with these easy to follow steps.
When taking your measurements ensure that you take them against your skin and not over clothing. One can wear a comfortable bra and knickers whilst measuring, as this will provide you with the most accurate measurements.
Tape measure has to sit firmly around the points you are measuring. But be careful not to pull it too tight, as this will give you the incorrect size.
When measuring circumferences (B, C, D, E) it is important to note that the tape measure must remain parallel to the floor. It is sometimes best to take the measurements in front of a mirror; this will help you see the angle of the tape measure.
You will only require the basic body measurements to determine your pattern size which is indicated on our mannequin below:
A. Shoulder Breadth
Place the tape at the edge of the shoulder. Measure along the top of the shoulder blade/across the highest point of the shoulders to the other edge, following the natural slope and allow an extra finger for ease of any movement.
B. Upper Arm Girth
This point is taken as a circumference at your widest point of your upper arm.
C. Bust
This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the fullest part of your chest.
D. Waist
This point is taken as a circumference and taken at the smallest part of your waist.
E. Hip
This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the widest part of your hips.
