The pants have an elastic waist with little fullness to allow them to sit flat when on the body. Optional pockets are set into the side seam. The leg has a lovely new shape that is not too slim and not too wide just perfect!!

I had high hopes for this pattern as my body measurements were exactly size 14. I am 65kgs and 168cm tall, so not overweight, but am curvy. The fit is pretty good, however they sit very low on me – almost 3 inches below my waistline at the front and drop very low at the back (4″) when sitting. That pulldown in the back when sitting is pretty diagnostic for not enough crotch extension. The elastic is also very narrow so I increased the size of the top fold to accommodate a wider, more comfortable elastic. They are also very long – I am a leg length 30 in jeans and I had to reduce the length by 2″. I also found them a little wide, but they will be made in linen, so that’s OK. I made a 2nd muslin, cutting a size 12 for the front and size 16 for the back to accommodate by round bum. I also added 3″ to the top of each piece and they are a much better fit.

My go to pants pattern, I have lost count how many I have made – generally in linen.
Pattern is true to size.
Highly recommend this pattern as it is so easy to put together and very flattering. The lack of fabric/fullness around the waist allows for this pant to sit rather flat around the waist, which I much prefer.
I do find that they sit just below the waist – my next pair I am going to lengthen the front and back crotch rise, just to see how it goes.
FABULOUS PATTERN.

How Do I Know What Size I Am?
Choosing your pattern size is the most important step and we will help you determine this with these easy to follow steps.
When taking your measurements ensure that you take them against your skin and not over clothing. One can wear a comfortable bra and knickers whilst measuring, as this will provide you with the most accurate measurements.
Tape measure has to sit firmly around the points you are measuring. But be careful not to pull it too tight, as this will give you the incorrect size.
When measuring circumferences (B, C, D, E) it is important to note that the tape measure must remain parallel to the floor. It is sometimes best to take the measurements in front of a mirror; this will help you see the angle of the tape measure.
You will only require the basic body measurements to determine your pattern size which is indicated on our mannequin below:
A. Shoulder Breadth
Place the tape at the edge of the shoulder. Measure along the top of the shoulder blade/across the highest point of the shoulders to the other edge, following the natural slope and allow an extra finger for ease of any movement.
B. Upper Arm Girth
This point is taken as a circumference at your widest point of your upper arm.
C. Bust
This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the fullest part of your chest.
D. Waist
This point is taken as a circumference and taken at the smallest part of your waist.
E. Hip
This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the widest part of your hips.
