I love this top, easy to put together. I’ll make the neck binding a little wider next time or not snip markers so that they don’t show. Also I’ll make longer, I’m only 5′ 21/2″ so not tall and I found it to be too short. Looks and feels great though.

Great pattern
First one I made in Nerida Hansen voile. Size 14. Length was a tad too short, though I will still wear it. Didn’t understand the top of the bias sleeve, so simply staystitched. Hand sewed neckline bias strip down .
Second spotty one I made with lovely soft cotton/silk from #wearethefabricstore with additional 3/4” added to length. Elastic length was spot on!
I made the Verona pattern into a costume for my Russian Folk dance group. I announce the shows and the blouse that came with my costume needed to be replaced. The design of the Verona blouse was perfect. I made three modifications. I made it open down the front for easy costume changing. I also extended the sleeve length and pleated the bottom of the sleeve to make it more Russian. I am thrilled with the Verona pattern.
I have a photo but could not figure out how to add it.

Love this top, I sewed size 8 and shortened 2cm as I’m short. I used an embroidered cotton voile which was a perfect fabric. The sleeve is bias cut, it drapes beautifully. I used a plain voile for the hem facing, the top hangs well with the additional weight of the facing.

Love this pattern & my resulting top. I used a lightweight linen, but this top would also be good in silk or viscose. I am longish in the torso, so added an inch (2.5cm) to the length. Photos and more details on my blog post.
Simple and quick to sew. Would make the sleeves a little longer as I prefer full length. Instructions were ok in this pattern.

How Do I Know What Size I Am?
Choosing your pattern size is the most important step and we will help you determine this with these easy to follow steps.
When taking your measurements ensure that you take them against your skin and not over clothing. One can wear a comfortable bra and knickers whilst measuring, as this will provide you with the most accurate measurements.
Tape measure has to sit firmly around the points you are measuring. But be careful not to pull it too tight, as this will give you the incorrect size.
When measuring circumferences (B, C, D, E) it is important to note that the tape measure must remain parallel to the floor. It is sometimes best to take the measurements in front of a mirror; this will help you see the angle of the tape measure.
You will only require the basic body measurements to determine your pattern size which is indicated on our mannequin below:
A. Shoulder Breadth
Place the tape at the edge of the shoulder. Measure along the top of the shoulder blade/across the highest point of the shoulders to the other edge, following the natural slope and allow an extra finger for ease of any movement.
B. Upper Arm Girth
This point is taken as a circumference at your widest point of your upper arm.
C. Bust
This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the fullest part of your chest.
D. Waist
This point is taken as a circumference and taken at the smallest part of your waist.
E. Hip
This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the widest part of your hips.
